Technical Implementation Specialist – In Office (Houston, TX)

Summary |

The Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading the successful deployment, configuration, adoption, and optimization of the company’s SaaS solutions across multi-site and multi-discipline organizations. 

This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, project stakeholders, product teams, and technical resources throughout the implementation lifecycle. The Technical Implementation Specialist will assess business processes, define deployment strategies, coordinate system configuration, facilitate data migration activities, conduct user training, and drive customer adoption to ensure successful outcomes. 

The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude, project management skills, business process analysis capabilities, and customer-facing consulting experience.

Reports To: Implementation Manager 

Key Responsibilities |

Implementation Leadership 

  • Lead end-to-end software implementations from project kickoff through production go-live. 
  • Manage concurrent implementations across multiple clients, offices, business units, and project teams. 
  • Develop implementation plans, deployment schedules, and customer success milestones. 
  • Facilitate discovery workshops to understand operational, technical, and business requirements. 
  • Translate business requirements into system configurations and implementation strategies.


Multi-Site Deployment Management
 

  • Coordinate deployments across geographically distributed organizations. 
  • Standardize business processes while accommodating client-specific operational requirements. 
  • Ensure consistent adoption across multiple offices, laboratories, departments, and project teams. 
  • Identify organizational risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful rollout. 


Business Process Consulting
 

  • Analyze customer workflows and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational efficiency. 
  • Recommend best practices aligned with industry standards and software capabilities. 
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes. 
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), implementation estimates, and customization recommendations. 


Technical Configuration & Integration Coordination
 

  • Configure software modules, workflows, user roles, permissions, and business rules. 
  • Coordinate integration activities with internal development teams and customer IT departments. 
  • Assist with data conversion, migration planning, validation, and testing activities. 
  • Support API, reporting, and third-party system integration initiatives. 


Training & Change Management
 

  • Develop and deliver role-based training programs for administrators, managers, and end users. 
  • Create implementation documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer resources. 
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. 
  • Drive organizational adoption through change management best practices. 


Customer Success & Support
 

  • Serve as the primary implementation contact for assigned customers. 
  • Conduct regular status meetings and executive project reviews. 
  • Monitor project health and proactively address risks, issues, and customer concerns. 
  • Support customers through stabilization and transition to long-term support teams. 


Continuous Improvement
 

  • Identify enhancement opportunities and submit product improvement recommendations. 
  • Participate in implementation process improvement initiatives. 
  • Assist in developing repeatable deployment methodologies and implementation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications |

  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise SaaS solutions. 
  • Experience leading multi-site software deployments. 
  • Experience managing customer-facing implementation projects. 
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. 
  • Experience managing customer expectations, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Experience conducting training, workshops, and executive presentations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 

Equivalent combination of education and relevant implementation experience may be considered.
