Safety Manager – In Office (Houston, TX)

Summary |

ATSER is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and experienced Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety initiatives across our construction and industrial operations. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety and EHS programs that ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations while promoting a safe working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of construction safety practices, regulatory compliance, and hazard mitigation, along with a proactive approach to incident prevention and continuous improvement. This position requires a collaborative leader committed to cultivating a culture of safety excellence and protecting the health and well-being of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities |

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other regulatory requirements.

 

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all project sites and facilities.

 

  • Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.

 

  • Deliver engaging training sessions on topics such as OSHA regulations, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards, first aid, CPR, and workers’ compensation law to empower employees with essential safety knowledge.

 

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by managing EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) programs and reporting requirements.

 

  • Maintain accurate safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and report writing for regulatory agencies.

 

  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies that promote occupational health and workers’ compensation law adherence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications |

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health principles.

  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA safety standards; additional credentials in EPA compliance or workers’ compensation are highly desirable.

  • Proven expertise in root cause analysis, incident investigation, and detailed report writing to support audits and corrective actions.

  • Excellent training & development skills to effectively educate diverse teams on safety protocols and best practices.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS programs, environmental regulations, and workers’ compensation procedures.

  • Ability to analyze complex safety data, identify hazards, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • BCSP certifications preferred (STS-C, CHST).
  • Experience supporting projects involving concrete, structural steel, commercial construction, and MEP systems preferred.
