DevOps Engineer

Position Summary: In this role, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and automating our infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our software applications. You will work closely with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to implement and manage our DevOps processes and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications using platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Consult with Executive Management on hiring strategies and tailor your approach accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
  • Collaborate with developers and operations teams to continuously improve our DevOps practices and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the DevOps space.

Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related discipline or related experience in place of education.
  • • 2+ years of IT, Software Implementation experience is required, including oversight of technology or business improvement projects and management experience.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPC. 
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools, such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
