Business Analyst – In Office (Houston, TX)

Summary |

The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between our customers’ business needs and the capabilities of the ATSER suite of applications. The BA partners closely with internal SME/Developer/Training Teams and customers throughout the implementation onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing our customers’ success with ATSER’s suite of applications.

Key Responsibilities |

Customer Needs Assessment & Process Mapping (Discovery):

  • Business Analyst will gain an expert-level of functional knowledge about ATSER’s suite of applications.
  • Conduct thorough customer discoveries (on-site & remote) to gain a deep understanding of their current business processes for document management, schedule management, cost management, and laboratory information management.
  • Document and analyze existing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with the ATSER software.
  • Collaborate with customers to define areas where the software needs to be adapted and areas where new processes need to be adopted for optimal use of the ATSER suite of applications.

Implementation & Support:

  • Business Analyst will partner with the implementation project manager to ensure on-time delivery of the ATSER solutions.
  • Work closely with the customer and development team to identify and address any technical issues prior to onboarding and Go Live.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive customer training programs to ensure user proficiency with the ATSER software functionalities.
  • Provide ongoing support to the customer as-needed after Go Live to address any challenges and ensure successful product adoption.

Required Skills and Qualifications |

  • Software Implementation: 5 years (Required).
  • Excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Adept at gathering requirements in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong understanding of the software-as-a-service model in single and multi-tenant deployments.
  • Experience with SaaS programs, such as CRM software, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio. Experience with engineering & construction management, document management, and / or civil construction engineering applications is desirable, by not required.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.


Business Analyst Education/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related discipline or related experience in place of education.
  • 5+ years of IT, Software Implementation experience is required, including oversight of technology or business improvement projects and / or project management experience.

Measurements of Success |

  • Time-to-Value (TTV): time between customer signing and Go Live.
  • Discovery Escape Rate: # of technical issues not addressed in Discovery that impact onboarding.
  • Training Effectiveness: # of Tier 1 support tickets 3 months after Go Live.
  • Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): up to 3 months after Go Live.
