Georgia DOT Northwest Corridor

Georgia DOT Northwest Corridor

The Georgia Depart of Transportation’s (GDOT) Northwest Corridor Project (NWCP) will add 29.7 miles of toll lanes along I-75 from Akers Mill Road to Hickory Grove Road and along I-575 from I-75 to Sixes Road. This Design-Build-Finance project will improve traffic flow and provide reliable trip times.

ATSER has been selected by GDOT to provide a Material Acceptance Testing System (MATS) for the NWCP Express Lanes. GDOT expects to expand the total number of their innovative delivery projects. This increase required GDOT to identify a more robust software solution that would assist with the validation of design builders’ acceptance programs. The FHWA CFR 23 requires the agencies to validate material acceptance results from design builders. GDOT  expected for their innovative delivery project a dramatic increase of strategic projects, GDOT was seeking a more comprehensive solution.

ATSER’s Assure-IT™ provides a software solution designed for agencies with acceptance and validation decisions. The software also provides governance and standardization for construction management, inspection and testing requirements.

The solution is a unique quality management software solution for collecting, analyzing, reporting, archiving and facilitating future retrieval. The electronic feature facilitates communication between the contractor, inspection and testing requests. The material testing features allow the collection, analysis, and reporting in real-time. The data is shared with all team members via the web.
