Local Program Manager Declares Environmental Responsibility
ATSER Program Manager, Warren D. Mueller, has obtained his Professional LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) 2.0 Accreditation from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). To achieve this status, Mr. Mueller successfully demonstrated to the Council his working knowledge of integrated design, understanding of green building practices and principles, and familiarity with the LEED™ Green Building Rating System.
As a LEED™ 2.0 Accredited Professional, Mr. Mueller is authorized to contribute his knowledge of the Green Building and Green Building Rating System on LEED™ registered building projects for which he serves. Additionally, LEED™ registered building projects receive one point for utilizing Mr. Muellerıs Professional LEED™ services on the design team. In a recent interview, Mr. Mueller stated that he plans to utilize his new credentials to determine building sustainability, assist owners in project LEED™ certification, and assess building design and construction for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality goals.
The U.S. Green Building Council is a balanced consensus coalition, which represents the entire building industry and promotes the design, construction, and operation of environmentally responsible buildings. In 1995, the U.S. Green Building Council developed LEED™ as a tool to educate, design better buildings and promote sustainable practices throughout the building industry.
