Project Description:

Phillips Development & Realty and Wood Partners teamed up for this $118 million, 792-unit, mixed-use high-rise complex consisting of two 30-story towers. Each tower sits atop a six-story parking structure and 22,500 square feet of street level retail. The 4.74 site is ideally located being adjacent to 400-acre Hermann Park in Houston. It is located off Highway 288 near downtown Houston, Texas Medical Center and Rice University.  The Mosaic Towers were completed in the spring of 2009.  Residents at the Mosaic were allowed to choose from a variety of plans. Residences feature floor to ceiling windows, Mosaic glass tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances and modern design accents.

ATSER’s role on the Mosaic Towers Project was to provide a web-based Quality Assurance System, Assure-IT™.  This software brought about the highest level of confidence in the quality of the materials and workmanship placed into the structure.  The software was used to streamline and automate the workmanship inspection process.  It was also employed to assure the quality of materials in the slurry drilled piles used in the foundation of the structure.  The software was also drawn upon to manage and statistically verify the results of all concrete testing utilized in the complex.
