Product Overview

Assure-IT™ Quality Management System

Assure-IT™ is a patented and unique quality management tool for the construction industry. It enables the customer to statistically analyze real-time lab and field data to determine material acceptance criteria quickly and effectively. Quick turnaround reduces the potential for downtime and rework.

In the 1980’s all engineering testing reports were delivered by hardcopies. By the early 1990’s, the transportation market was experimenting with an alternative delivery method of requesting contractors to bid a fixed priced fixed schedule for billion dollar programs. The need to accelerate project deliveries resulted in aggressive schedules sometimes as large as over $1 million of construction executed on a daily basis. The resulting material testing records were exhaustive.

A team of ATSER scientists in late 1998 coupled real time inspection and testing system know-how with the emerging internet industry. The team applied for a US patent and was awarded a process patent for their work. The United States was undergoing a need analysis that highway construction project were needed at a faster rate. The transformation from traditional delivery methods to alternative method such as design build and third party developers highlighted the need for real time decisions.
