Our crusade is to enable Program Managers to take control of the full program management lifecycle using technology. In the mid 90s, when Dr. Martinez was first bringing the dream of ATSER to fruition, the hot button of management consultants was Process Reengineering. Back then, the main proponents of re-engineering were Michael Hammer and James A. Champy. They argued that far too much time is wasted passing on tasks (and the corresponding reams of paper) from one department to another. They helped managers realize the need for simplification of business processes.
Re-engineering is the basis for many recent developments in management. What Dr. Martinez brought to the table was the application of process reengineering principles to the construction industry. He set out to develop technology solutions to enable process simplification and control in the construction industry and as a result Asphalt-IT™, our first software product, was born. Today, ATSER has developed a full suite of automation software (called Automate-IT™) designed to enable simplification and control through automation of the full Program Management Lifecycle.
